Who is responsible

The enquiry form

When you send an enquiry, the details you type (project type, business name, brief, optional website, optional budget and timeframe, your name and email address) are validated on the server and passed to the studio’s email provider, Resend, which delivers them to the studio’s inbox as an email. Your email address is placed in the message’s reply-to field so the studio can answer you. That is the only purpose: replying about your project and, if you go ahead, agreeing and delivering the work.

The site does not store enquiries in a database. The server keeps a short-lived, one-way hashed record of the sending connection to limit repeated submissions, and a short-lived token that stops the same brief being delivered twice. Neither contains the text of your message. Server logs record that a message was accepted or failed, with an internal reference, not the content or your address.

While you are filling in the form, your draft is kept in your own browser’s session storage so a lost connection does not lose your text. It is removed when a message is accepted or when you close the tab.

If sending is not switched on for a deployment, the form offers to open a draft in your own email app instead. In that case nothing is sent through this site at all.

Emails and retention

Enquiries arrive as ordinary email in the studio’s mailbox and are handled like any business correspondence. The studio keeps correspondence for as long as it is needed to answer you and, where a project goes ahead, for the life of the engagement and any reasonable period afterwards for records. No tracking

This site sets no analytics, advertising or marketing cookies and loads no third-party scripts. There is no mailing list and nothing is shared with advertisers.

One local setting

The motion preference (full or reduced) is stored in your browser’s local storage so it is remembered next time. It contains only the word “full” or “reduced” and never leaves your device.

Hosting

The site is served by a hosting provider that processes standard request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and keep the service secure. [Owner to name the production host and its data location before launch.]

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what information the studio holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Email viveak.03@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
